Thirteen Flint Hills Extension District 4-Hers attended Equifest Youth Horse Judging Contest on March 18, 2022 at EquiFest in Salina.
The annual membership meeting of the Council Grove Chamber of Commerce & Tourism was held Tuesday morning at First Congregational UCC in Council Grove.
On March 16 at around 7:40 a.m., Tracy Henry of Alma was traveling southbound on K-177 Highway when she struck a deer that emerged from the east ditch. No injuries were reported and the extent of damage to the vehicle, a 2011 Chevy Equinox, is unknown.
SERVICE HONORED -- Former Dwight Mayor Galen Johnson was honored for his 33 years service to the Dwight community as both a mayor and member of the city council. Mayor Pam Goss (left) presented Johnson with a plaque at the February 2022 meeting of the Dwight City Council.
