KC VA Clinic To Be Named After Kansas Veteran

U.S Sen. Jerry Moran (R-Kan.) – ranking member of the Senate Veterans’ Affairs Committee – and Sen. Roger Marshall, M.D. (R-Kan.) today introduced legislation to name the VA outpatient clinic in Kansas City, Kansas, after Captain Elwin “Al” Shopteese. The legislation formally designates the clinic as the “Captain Elwin Shopteese Department of Veterans Affairs Clinic” or the “Captain Elwin Shopteese VA Clinic.”

USD 417 BOE To Meet Monday

The JBCC Policy hearing and regular meeting of the USD 417 Board of Education will be held at the District Office. The meeting will start at 5:50 p.m. Zoom will again be used to allow board members and administrators to attend the regular meeting remotely.
