Kealy Fox, 23, Manhattan, was traveling southbound on K177 when a deer emerged from the west ditch. She was unable to avoid striking the deer, causing minor damage to her 2017 Chevrolet van. The accident occurred on March 15.
Pastor Brenda Davids of the Council Grove United Methodist Church will be speaker at the final Lenten Lunch Thursday at the First Congregational UCC. Lunch and a devotion will be from noon to 1 p.m. Carry-out meals are available through the basement entrance from 11-11:30 a.m.

Bruce Hula, Council Grove High School Boys Golf Coach, is excited that this year’s program has grown from nine players last year to 13 this year. He said, “We have some strong additions and the Braves are returning a state placer in Drew Buchman (4th Place at 2022 3A Golf tournament).”
