Home Health and Hospice of Dickinson County in Herington, an affiliate of Memorial Health System in Abilene, has selected Ryan Batchman as the next Herington Hero Award.
The Council Grove High School Junior Varsity Golf team hosted a successful invitational on Tuesday, where they claimed first place with a team score of 231.
Council Grove Junior/Senior High School Counselor Jill Day has announced that an Apply Kansas event will be held October 8. The event, which will take place from 9-11 am in the CGJSHS commons area, will assist and support seniors in making decisions towards their future.
Last week, Les Vilda stopped in the Council Grove Republican on the return leg of his trip to Santa Fe, New Mexico, while driving the route of the Santa Fe Trail. The trip longer than he anticipated, covering 17 days from September 9 to 26.
The October order deadline is nearing for the annual White City United Methodist Church Turkey Supper, scheduled for November 13. The meal is pre-order, take-out meals only. The order deadline is Saturday, October 19.
