Chase County would win game one 18-15 and the Braves would win game two 12-5.

LEPC To Meet Wednesday

The Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) will meet at 4 p.m. on Wednesday at the Morris County Courthouse meeting room. The purpose of the meeting will be to elect officers and review the committee’s roster.

CGHS Musicians Perform At Regionals And State

The Council Grove High School Band and Choir have had recent success in their endeavors at the Regional Solo and Small Ensemble Contest and the State Large Group Contest. The Regional Solo and Small Ensemble is a music contest in which students have the opportunity to perform by themselves in front of a judge or as a small ensemble in order to receive a rating, with the highest rating being a one and the lowest a five. These ratings are determined by points scored on the Kansas State High School Activities Association Music Rubric. In order to qualify for state, students must receive a one rating at the regional level.

The 2022 Council Grove High School prom king and queen were seniors Myles Gant and Liz Armstrong. The CGHS prom was held on Saturday in the school’s Old Gym with the theme “Through the Garden Gate.”
