“Barefoot In The Park” Cast Announced
The cast for the Council Grove Community Theatre production of “Barefoot in the Park,” by Neil Simon have been announced. In order of appearance the cast is Corrie - Samantha Davis, Telephone Man - Scott Allen, Delivery Man - Kent Carbaugh, Paul - Joe Hirsch, Victor - Steve White and Mother - Sharon Haun.
Taylor Lee Adams Wins Pigskin Pick ‘Em Contest
Taylor Lee Adams of Manhattan is the Week 12 Pigskin Pick ‘Em winner. Adams correctly guessed 15 out of 17 contests and won the tie breaker game, which was the Buffalo Bills at Philadelphia Eagles contest. Adams had a score of 48 when the total score of the two teams was 71. Two games in particular were surprises for this week’s contestants. With more than thirty competing, no one picked the Green Bay Packers to beat the Detroit Lions but they did 29-22. Only one person thought that the KSU Wildcats would lose to the Iowa State Cyclones. The score was 42-35 with the Cyclones on top.
Annual Chamber Meeting RSVP Deadline Is Monday
The annual meeting of members of the Council Grove Area Trade & Tourism Association is at noon, Friday, December 1, at the Dealership Building. The cost of the luncheon is $10. Tickets may be purchased at https://www.councilgrove.com/ event-calendar. Non-members are welcome to join the group but will not be able to vote for the Board of Directors election.
