Nat’l Faith Walker David Cruz Sited Walking Toward Alta Vista
David Cruz, a man that has been walking since 2020 and has people watching out for him across the nation was seen north of Alta Vista late Wednesday afternoon by Council Grove resident Jeremiah Canady. Canady snapped a selfie with Cruz and offered him a ride and some water, both of which Cruz declined.
Special Meeting Concludes w/Approval To Yadon Construction
The Morris County Commissioners met for a special meeting at 8:15 a.m. on Wednesday, May 15, 2024. The three county commissioners Dave Fox, Wayne Kohler and Jim Barber were present, as well as County Clerk Chelsey Schmidt and County Counselor Bill Kassebaum. Tyler Yadon of Yadon Construction was also present.

Eli Kormanik of Alta Vista has entered the Republican race for the open seat in State House District 51 after incumbent House Representative Kenny Titus announced he is not seeking re-election because he is seeking a State Senate position.
