Many sports enthusiasts feel there’s no better tradition than mingling with fellow fans while tailgating. Tailgating entails arriving at a stadium parking lot several hours early on game day; icing down beverages in a cooler; heating up the grill; and seeing some familiar, perhaps fanatical, faces.

With sponsorship from the Council Grove Elementary PTO, the Culpepper & Merriweather Circus is coming to Council Grove on Wednesday, September 11. It will be located in the lot north of the KATY Depot, 512 Main St., Council Grove. The shows will be at 5 and 7:30 p.m.
Trinadee Fetters has obtained the Girl Scouts bronze and silver awards and has her sight set on the gold award, the highest award with Girl Scouts. Currently she is waiting on approval by the Gold Award committee to receive the award.
The Kansas Manufacturing Council, an affiliated program of the Kansas Chamber, is looking for the 2024 Coolest Thing Made In Kansas.
