Benjamin Watson, 24, Florida, was driving his 2011 Dodge Ram 1500 on Hwy. 177 when he passed out and crossed the center line and ran off the road into the west ditch. When he awoke, he overcorrected and slid through a panel fence and struck a concrete culvert.

Phillips, Allen, Bachelor of Fine Arts in Design; Avery Peek, Reading, Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Studies; and Eleanor Seaton Badeker, Alma, Bachelor of Arts in Economics.
Ethan Goodyear, 16, Junction City, was northbound on Sunset Circle in White City in a 1993 Ford Ranger. He pulled into the west ditch to park when the brakes quit working and he struck the back of a 2022 Buick Encore owned by Amanda Ryker that was already parked in the ditch. Jhet Johnson, 15, and Colver Johnson, 15, were passengers in the Ranger.
A recently completed survey of parent perceptions of post-secondary options and high-demand careers found significant changes since it was first conducted in 2019, including parents’ growing acceptance of their children pursuing skilled trade careers and alternatives to traditional four-year college.
