The Council Grove Senior Center, 227 W. Main, Council Grove will host special Veterans Day activities on Monday, November 11. A Veterans Day breakfast will be served 6 a.m. – 11 a.m. and veterans will dine free. There will be prizes, door prizes and gifts for all veterans.
The filing deadline is approaching for some corporations to file a Beneficial Ownership Information Report with the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network. Corporations face penalties of $500 or per day for non-compliance. However, this civil penalty amount is adjusted annually for inflation. On Oct. 3 the adjustment brought the penalty up to $591.
The Morris County Commissioner meeting was called to order on Tuesday, October 29th, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. Commissioners David Fox, Jim Barber, and Wayne Kohler were present. Bill Kassebaum, County Counselor, and Chelsey Schmidt, County Clerk, were present.
USD 417 Superintendent Tyson Eslinger was the guest speaker at Wednesday’s Council Grove Rotary Club meeting. Eslinger shared 8 top financial stats of the district, as well as 8 “top district stats”. Many of the facts are interesting that most people may not know. We are sharing Eslinger’s list with you. The full-time equivalency number of the district is 747. The total represents the number of actual students PreK – 12th grade.
CG Players presents The Man Who Came to Dinner by Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman at 7 p.m., on Friday, November 15, and at 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 17, at 2:00 p.m. in the Council Grove Jr/Sr High School auditorium. The show runs for approximately 2 hours plus a 10-minute intermission.
