The USD 417 Board of Education met for a special meeting Wednesday night. Britton Hart, who holds a Doctorate in Education and is the Assistant Executive Director of Leadership Services at Kansas Association of School Boards (KSAB), facilitated most of the meeting. He discussed the findings from the two community nights that were held in April with USD stakeholders.

Last weekend one of our local Council Grove youth, Braxtin Ink, 14, took 5th place out of 115 disc golf players in a Pro Disc Golf Association A-Tier competition referred to as the Glass Blown Open (GBO) in Emporia. Out of the 115 competitors in his division, 95% of them were adults. Braxtin is currently sponsored by Team ESCO of Emporia, KS, and is a member of the Council Grove Disc Golf Club.
