Morris Co. Sheriff Relaunches D.A.R.E. Program In White City

Today, children of all ages in school classrooms throughout the country and Morris County face a multitude of high-risk circumstances which can be challenging for youth to understand or deal with. In response to these challenges and the long-term welfare of our communities, the Morris County Sheriff Office has relaunched the D.A.R.E. educational curriculum. The ten-week program is currently being taught in White City Schools and the goal is to offer the program in the future at Council Grove/ USD 417 Schools.

Braves Best Caney Valley 35-14 In Round One Playoff Victory

The Council Grove Braves traveled three hours to take on the Caney Valley Bullpups in the first round of the 2A playoffs Friday night, securing a decisive 35-14 victory. This win marked Council Grove’s third-ever playoff triumph, and their third consecutive playoff win in as many seasons. Despite being the #13 seed in the 2A East bracket, the Braves overpowered the #4 seed Caney Valley with a combination of hard-hitting defense and explosive offense. The offense racked up 377 yards and the defense held a strong-rushing attack to just 2.2 yards per carry.
