Two standout wrestlers from the region have been named among Kansas’ top competitors entering the 2024–25 high school season. The Kansas State High School Activities Association (KSHSAA) has listed Council Grove’s Bradley Doornbos and Herington’s Reid Griffiths as wrestlers to watch, each earning a preseason No. 3 ranking in their respective weight classes.

Council Grove High School’s boys and girls kick off their respective wrestling seasons Thursday with duals against the El Dorado Wildcats in El Dorado. Action starts at 6 pm.
