FBLA attends state conference and qualifies six for nationals

Council Grove FBLA had a successful State Leadership Conference in Topeka from March 31 to April 1. Twelve students attended the State Conference, and six students qualified for the National Leadership Conference in Anaheim, CA, this summer by placing in the Top four of their event. The students will have to choose one event to compete in at Nationals. Qualifying were Riley Forge, Casaiia Mullen, Landon Dody, Finn Gant, Brycen Palmquist and Daniel Most.

Ashley Burkhardt Walker is a homemaker from Kinsley, Kansas, which is in southwest Kansas. She and her husband are raising their three children as traditionally as they can. She enjoys baking and cooking from scratch, raising chickens and milk cows, and gardening, among many other homesteading skills. Her new column in the Council Grove Republican called”Fresh from the Hen House,” will vary every week and may involve milk cows, chickens, 4-H, gardening, etc. Often a favorite recipe will be included.
