The Council Grove High School Braves track and field team competed at the Chapman Invitational on Monday after their earlier meet was canceled due to weather. The athletes made the most of a beautiful, calm day—ideal for early-season performances. The boys’ team placed 2nd overall, and the girls finished 5th despite entering only six competitors.
The Council Grove Senior Center will celebrate 50 years of service to the community with a special event on April 28. In recognition of this milestone, the Center is inviting all current and former volunteers to join them for lunch and a time of reflection.
The Confidence in Kansas Public Education Task has named Council Grove Junior Senior High School and Herington Elementary School as 2 of 100 Kansas schools to be named recipients of the 2024 Challenge Awards. Since its inception in 2002, more than 2,000 Challenge awards have been presented to schools across the state.
