Staffing crisis at Council Grove Lake threatens local economy

At Wednesday’s Council Grove Rotary meeting, Gary Kepley, Deputy Operations Project Manager for the Kansas Area of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Tulsa District, delivered a candid update on the uncertain future of Council Grove Lake’s recreational facilities. Kepley was joined by Tyler Nelson, Assistant Lake Manager, who is based in Council Grove and supports operations for both Council Grove and John Redmond lakes.
