Dr. Patricia Schroeder was a registered veterinary technician for 17 years when she went to school to become a veterinarian, completing her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the age of 44. Her goal in becoming a veterinarian is that she wanted to own her own business and practice veterinary medicine the way she wanted to. Her business is All Around Veterinary Service (AAVS).
Daily life is often filled with routine, generally safe activities. By and large people feel comfortable heading to school or work every day, and returning to the security of their homes. But that doesn’t mean individuals, particularly women, aren’t vulnerable to unsafe situations. In a January 2018 National Study on Sexual Harassment and assault survey of 1,000 women nationwide, 81 percent reported experiencing some form of sexual harassment, assault, or both in their lifetimes.
