The Heart of the Flint Hills Chapter of the Santa Fe Trail Association welcomed approximately thirty 7th grade students of Mr. John Keating on Tuesday, January 31 at the Morris County Historical Society Carnegie Reading Room, in honor of Kansas Day. President Mark Brooks lead the students briefly through the historic sites in Council Grove, noting their significance back in the 1860s and today. Marcia Fox, HFH SFT member from Wamego, gave a Power Point presentation on the history of the Santa Fe Trail to the two classes.
