GMDC Third Annual Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge Date Set

The Greater Morris County Development Corporation (GMDC), in association with the Network Kansas E-Community Partnership, announces the 3rd Annual Morris County Youth Entrepreneurship Competition will take place on March 7, 2023, in White City as part of the 2021-2022 Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge (YEC) series. All Morris County students in grades 6-12 are invited, and encouraged, to participate. The goal of the competition is to expose Kansas middle school and high school students to entrepreneurship and business plans that could suit the needs of the communities they live in and beyond.

Kansas Commits $304M To Chip Plant To Lure Federal Funds

TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) — Kansas plans to give $304 million in taxpayer-funded incentives to a semiconductor company in its largest city to build a huge new factory, but the project won’t go forward without funds the U.S. government has promised for rebuilding the nation’s chip-making capacity.
