Flint Hills Junkin’ Road Trip Brings Guests To CG April 15

For those who enjoy antiques, vintage, flea markets and garage sales, mark April 15 as the date to hit the road. Seven communities are joining together to provide Kansans with a Flint Hills Junkin’ Road Trip that will stretch from Osage City and Scranton on the east to Emporia, Council Grove and Cottonwood Falls in the middle and Marion and Peabody southwest.

Native Americans On The Santa Fe Trail

The April 16th Kaw Mission Council will be “Native Americans on the Santa Fe Trail.” This Power-Point program is an overview of the American Indians that lived along or near the Santa Fe Trail from the Missouri Border to New Mexico. The program will review how each native culture impacted activities on the trail and how activities on the trail impacted them. A review of each tribe will conclude with their status as a people today.
