Drew Buchman, Council Grove High School sophomore, put it all together and shot an even par (71) to win the Hesston 3A Regional by two strokes on Tuesday. The victory for Buchman qualifies him for state for the second year in a row.

The Council Grove City Council met Tuesday night at City Hall. In the public comment period, Tanner Schneider and Cassie Diebold are moving to town and talked to the City Council about their dog, who is a mixed breed. Tanner and Cassie provided documentation from their veterinarian and showed photos of the dog. They were concerned about the city’s dog ordinance and whether their dog complied. The Council referred to the dog as a mixed breed and welcomed the couple to town with their pets.
