The Buy-a-Brew event for May was held Thursday, May 18 at the Saddlerock Café. The monthly Buya- Brew events are sponsored by Destination: Council Grove and are excellent ways to learn about different organizations in Council Grove and to provide input and learn how to become involved.
The restaurant Ad Astra will reopen next month in its downtown Strong City location. The popular restaurant was sold last June to Chase County businessman Jared Roberts from former owner Matt Flowers.
Recently, I had the opportunity to listen to the Kansas Teacher of the Year. His speech included an activity that changed my perspective, so let me share it with you today. Class of 2023, I need you to raise your hand. Now raise it higher. Why did you not raise it higher the first time? Was it too uncomfortable? Were you afraid your hand would be the highest and attract attention?

Ten Council Grove High School Braves athletes have secured their spots in the highly anticipated State Track meet at Wichita State University, set to take place this Friday and Saturday. This formidable lineup of qualifiers includes Ethan Burton, Evan Carr, Loup Charlier, Kodi Downes, Blaise French, Jace Goodman, Kahle Jones, Ahmed Mansaray, Levi Waring, and Lily Zeigler.
