The Morris County Commissioners met on Tuesday, September 28 , 2021 at 9 a.m. Commissioner Wayne Kohler was present. Bill Kassebaum, County Counselor, and Chelsey Schmidt, County Clerk, were present.
The Council Grove High School Lady Braves Golf team was the top team on Thursday at the Rossville Tournament. The Lady Braves edged out Clay Center to get the win, notching five top 10 finishes on the day.
38 MILES -- Denise and Matthew Ehrlich completed the March of Dimes 38 Miles in September Challenge last month. The mother and son walked 38 miles in September on rural Morris County roads during the month. The 38 miles is symbolic of the 380,000 preterm births that occur in the country each year. Through online donations and per mile pledges, Denise and Matthew collected $650 for the organization. The March of Dimes mission statement is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, preterm births and infant mortality.
