Lana Allen, White City, was recently recognized by the North Central Flint Hills Area Agency on Aging, Inc., for nearly 18 years of dedication and participation on the Area on Aging board and Advisory Council. She had also served on her own site board for several years.
Since the hot temperature is the subject of most conversations these days, I decided to search for high temperatures in the Council Grove area in years gone by.
Meredith Sleichter, Executive Director of the Eisenhower Foundation was the guest speaker at this week’s Council Grove Rotary meeting. She said $12 million dollars was raised for the complete overhaul and restoration of the Eisenhower Presidential Library & Museum at 200 S E 4th St. in Abilene, Kansas. The museum reopened in August of 2022.
The Council Grove High School Braves football team learned Thursday that they are ranked 10th in Kansas in 2A preseason rankings by Kansas Media. Kansas Media is a poll that factors in votes from all high school football media outlets in Kansas.
