Nominations Sought For Fully Catered News Years Eve Meal

The Reinecke Agency Farm Bureau Financial Services office in Council Grove is seeking nominations for a fully catered New Years Eve meal for a deserving community member and their family. They are looking for unsung heroes in our community who they say are kind souls who often give of themselves and ask nothing in return. We all know them. Who do you know that deserves rest, relaxation, zero meal prep and extra time to connect with their loved ones this holiday season?

RECOGNIZED FOR GROWING MEMBERSHIP -- Morris County Farm Bureau received recognition for growing its membership 111 percent in 2023. County leaders were honored with the Membership Traveling Trophy Sunday, Dec. 3, at Kansas Farm Bureau’s (KFB) annual meeting in Manhattan. MCFB will also get to send one member, Colter Macy, to the American Farm Bureau Federation’s annual convention in Salt Lake City, Utah, in January. Pictured here with the Membership Traveling Trophy are (from left) George Pretz, KFB District 2 director; Colter Macy, MCFB board member; Jean Goslin, MCFB president; Rachael Green, MCFB vice president; and Danielle Blue, MCFB coordinator. Goslin, Green and Macy also served as delegates during the business meeting where KFB members adopted policies that will serve as the organization’s roadmap for the 2024 legislative session.

Lindsey Patnode Brings Clients’ Visions To Life Through Design

Lindsey Patnode, our Flint Hills Crafter for this edition, is sharing her creative talents with the Flint Hills communities through a new service offered through her business Flowers by Lindsey. After seeing an article in Florist Review magazine about what other florists have done by marketing their creativity, she decided she would try it herself this holiday season. Patnode said, “I have always loved decorating for Christmas at my shop and at home.” When she was young, she remembers her mother decorating the outside of a few homes for her patrons and likes the concept but wanted to concentrate on interior design.
