Larry Adams Wins Pigskin Pick ‘Em
Larry Adams, of Council Grove, won week 16 of the Council Grove Republican’s Pigskin Pick ‘Em. He correctly guessed 12 out of 17 contests.
Leaves Road, Strikes Sign
On Dec. 16, Sierra Seadeek, 16, was driving a Dodge Durango north on K149 and left the east side of the road. She struck a KDOT sign and post. Less than $1,000 damage was caused and no injuries were reported. She was wearing a seatbelt.

County Highway Dept. Establishes Winter Weather Policy
The Morris County Highway Department, in an effort to provide the best overall benefit to local residents and the traveling public with the limited resources available, have established a “Winter weather Snow and Ice removal policy.”
