The Abilene and Smoky Valley Railroad is fighting inflation by offering special free train rides on Tuesday afternoon, August 2.
The 101st Chase County Fair is in full swing this week.The fair started with a kickoff celebration Saturday evening at Swope Park in Cottonwood Falls, and the horse show on Sunday. Monday’s activities featured the 4-H dog show, the beginning of the food sale, and the youth dance for 6th to 12th graders.
The Men’s Prayer Breakfast will be held at 6:30 a.m. on August 2 at the Council Grove Senior Center. Steve Zerbe will be the speaker. All area men are invited.
