In an interview with the Council Grove Republican, Council Grove Elementary School Principal Kelcy Johnson Bremer and CGES Assistant Principal Tasha Messer Green, two local women who are a product of USD 417, discussed their new roles and responsibilities. Kelcy Bremer is the new CGES principal, after the retirement of Heather Honas, and Tasha Green is assistant principal.
It seems there is always something fun going on at Council Grove’s Pizza Hut, 15 N Union. The restaurant is hosting its first Chalk-The-Lot from 4-6 p.m., on Tuesday, July 23.
On July 16, at approximately 1:01 a.m., officers from the Council Grove Police Department responded to 20 North Belfry for a suspected Fentanyl overdose. Upon arriving, responding officers administered Narcan, and performed CPR on the individual.
At the Tuesday, July 16, Morris County Commission meeting, Jamie Johnson, County Health Nurse, gave a report on the Health Department. The electronic message board/sign has been installed and is working. The health department has been going to the White City Clinic once a month to administer vaccinations. Individuals that wish to receive vaccinations at the White City Clinic location can call and request to be scheduled on the applicable dates.
