City Of CG: No Match On $1.88 Million Grant, Action Made About City Lake
The Council Grove City Council held a public hearing Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at City Hall to discuss the city’s plans to apply for a Kansas Department of Commerce Community Development Block Grant (CDBG). The grant, requested in the amount of $650,000, would fund significant improvements to the KATY Depot and surrounding park area, estimated to cost $866,667 in total. The improvements aim to modernize the building and ensure compliance with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards.
USD 417 BOE Travels To PHES For Meeting, Presentation & Tour
The USD 417 Board of Education met Monday evening at Prairie Heights Elementary School, in Alta Vista, for its October meeting. PHES 6th grade social studies and science students gave a presentation, followed by one by 6th grade music students.
