The annual “Bulls Built for the Long Haul — Fall Edition” sale will be held Friday, November 7, 2025, at 12 p.m. at Downey Ranch Headquarters, located 12 miles southeast of Manhattan.
The Council Grove Braves will make the trip north to Seneca on Friday, November 7, to take on the Nemaha Central Thunder in the Class 2A regional championship game. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at Nemaha Central High School, 214 North 11th Street, and the game will be streamed live on the Flint Hills Life Channel. If attending, take note that only cash will be accepted at the gate.
Downtown Council Grove will sparkle once again as merchants open their doors for the annual Candlelight Charm, a beloved holiday shopping tradition filled with smalltown cheer, carriage rides, and glowing storefronts. From 5 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, November 8, visitors are invited to shop, dine, and enjoy an evening of community spirit beneath the twinkle of Main Street lights. The hometown celebration, sponsored with support from the City of Council Grove, brings neighbors far and near together to enjoy Main Street at one of its most festive events.
The Council Grove City Council met Tuesday evening, November 4, 2025, with all members present except Councilor Nathan Adams, who was out of town.
Morris County unofficial election results As of 9:31 p.m., Tuesday, November 4, 2025 All 15 precincts in Morris County have reported, but results remain unofficial until mail ballots are counted later this week. County officials noted that three additional days of mail-in ballots will be accepted and counted, with final results expected Monday. Voter turnout stood at 26.32% of the county’s 4,020 registered voters.
