As Coach Bruce Hula enters his 18th season at the helm of the Council Grove High School Braves, he sees a relatively inexperienced squad prepared to do battle in the upcoming 2022 – 2023 season. The Braves’ schedule is loaded with talented teams from throughout the area and includes 3 teams ranked in the Kansas Basketball Coaches Association pre-season rankings. Lyndon is ranked 4th in 2A, while the Braves will also face off against 3A Pre-Season # 3 Rock Creek and # 8 St. Mary’s.
I caught up with Amy Honer recently and learned that as everyone was trying to learn how to do business during the pandemic, Amy was starting Route 56 and finding ways for her Route 56 business to thrive. I was curious to know exactly how Route 56 began and wondered what really goes on there.

The Morris County Sheriff’s Office announces the addition of a law enforcement working dog (K9). Kimber, a 15-month-old Belgian Malinois, will join veteran officer Alex Wooden, who will serve as her handler, to form the new K9 unit. Kimber was added to the ranks on November 18, 2022.
