RIBBON CUTTING -- Erichsen Agri-Motive and the Council Grove Community Arts Council recently celebrated the city’s newest mural with a ribbon cutting
“Tis a Gift to be Simple” is the newest mural to Council Grove. It is located on the west side of Erichsen Agri-Motive (NAPA). The project was initiated through the Community Arts Council of Council Grove (CACCG), and coordinated by the treasurer, Mary Yoder. Matched funding was provided by a grant from the Office of Rural Prosperity and Kansas Commerce.
The Council Grove High School Lady Braves Basketball team will be seeking to improve on the defensive side of the basketball in Coach Carter’s 3rd season. They open their season this Friday at West Franklin. Last season saw the team improve on the defensive side of the ball in helping the Lady Braves win the Flint Hills League Title.
