The Pearl in Alta Vista is a non-profit community center where people love to gather. Sometimes when BINGO is offered both sides of the historic building are used for the crowd.
The Pearl, a community center, located at 603 Main Street, in Alta Vista has returned to become the community center in Alta Vista it once was. As society has changed, the use of the building has changed.
Kansas is one of the most tornado-prone states in the country. The state averages 92 tornadoes annually, according to Victor Gensini representing the National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration.
