The Council Grove High School Lady Braves Softball Team begins their two month season today with a home opener. They will play Lyndon today at 4 p.m.
Alex Richmeier, Project Manager/ Estimator for Klaven Construction, which is one of the subsidiary companies of Wildcat Companies working on K-177 North, was the guest speaker at the weekly meeting of the Council Grove Rotary Club.
The centenarian E. Malcolm Strom turns 105 on Friday, March 24. Strom who considers himself from Dwight, is presently at home at Morris County Assisted Living. Some of his family celebrated with him a week and a half ago, the community has showered him with birthday cards and the Friday afternoon event is a quiet event scheduled for 2 p.m.
PLACE IN TOP 10 -- Flint Hills Extention District 4-H members who placed in the top 10 for their division during the Equifest Youth Horse Judging Contest Friday
Gavin Mills, Council Grove High School, and Cooper Schroer, Chase County High School, have been selected to play in the 2023 Flint Hills Optimist Club Area High School All-Star Boys Basketball game. Both players will be on the Red Team coached by Dylan Farr.
