USD 417 BOE Discusses Potential Staff Additions, Hears COVID Update

The USD 417 Board of Education discussed the possibility of staff additions in the district at their regular monthly meeting. Superintendent Aron Dody said that the goal of the additions would be teacher support due to the increasing amount of teaching materials that utilize an online component. In discussing this, Dody noted the possibility of combining the duties of the Council Grove Elementary School Assistant Principal with that of early childhood coordinator and 504 co-ordinator. The additions would also include a staff member that would work as a combination of an instructional coach, technical coach and assistant to Technology Director Torri Mc- Dougal.
