The Council Grove High School Braves placed two players, and Chase County Bulldogs one on the All-Flint Hills League first team in baseball during recent voting by league coaches. They are: Braun Frye, sophomore, Braves pitcher; Cade Goodell, sophomore, Braves outfield; and Cal Kolhmeier, senior, Bulldogs pitcher.

Reading of veterans names and avenues of flags are planned during the Memorial Day holiday weekend at area cemeteries, to honor veterans who served in the United States military, and in some cases made the supreme sacrifice in defense of their country.
