Ben and Carla Kormanik, the community liaisons for Core Community of Alta Vista were guests at the Council Grove Rotary Club Wednesday. The program the couple outlined appears to be the same concept that was described a week ago when Herington Hearts presented its program. However, as a Rotarian listening to both programs, I saw subtle differences that are important.
Dr. John and Rachel Price have had a whirlwind summer. The couple and their three boys, ages 10, 6, and 1 ½ months moved to Council Grove from Lincoln, Nebraska on June 30. Dr. Price, who prefers people call him John, has been hired to be a new provider at the Morris County Hospital and MCH and Chase County Medical Clinics.
Jeff Blosser of Wildcat Construction was at the Council Grove City Council meeting last night and was asked how much longer the Alta Vista corner would be open. He said he believed it would be open until at least August 1 and perhaps as late as August 10 because the guys need access to grade north of the intersection.
TOPEKA –- The Kansas High School Activities Association (KSHSAA) met Tuesday to discuss possible rules and updates to the governing body’s summer regulations.
The Council Grove City Council met Tuesday night at City Hall. No patrons were present for the public comment period.
