The Council Grove Braves Junior High Basketball team returned to action on Thursday against Central Heights, picking up three wins on the night and building momentum for the upcoming Flint Hills Junior League Tournament.
The Morris County Commissioners met on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at 9 a.m. Commissioners Wayne Kohler, Jim Barber and David Fox were present. Bill Kassebaum, County Counselor, and Chelsey Schmidt, County Clerk, were present.
KELCY BREMER -- USD 417 has announced that Kelcy Bremer will move from her current role as the half-time assistant principal at Council Grove Elementary School and half-time district instruction coach to a new role for the 2022-2023 school year. Next year, Bremer will transition to the role of full-time assistant principal at CGES, Early Childhood Coordinator and USD 417 504 Coordinator. The district will hire a new full-time instructional coach to increase service to the USD 417 staff and students.
Larry Adams was the winner of week three of the Council Grove Republican Bowl Bash Contest, correctly guessing 10 of 11 winners. He will receive a $25 gift certificate to be used at any contest sponsor. Adams also won the grand prize, winning two of the three contests and will receive $50.
