TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) — Kansas could phase out its corporate income tax under a measure that also would expand its incentives for attracting new businesses, and the provision is a problem as lawmakers rush to help the state attract an undisclosed multibillion-dollar project.
Due to the inclement weather, several USD 417 activities have been postponed and rescheduled to later dates.
TOURING NEOSHO GARDENS -- The Neosho Valley 4-H Club took an educational tour of Neosho Gardens recently. Eric Nelson, owner, conducted the tour. PLACES THIRD -- Beau Peterson, Council Grove, placed third in the Roping Futurities of America in Abilene, TX on Tuesday. The event is open to 4-year-old horses only. Beau rode and trained her horse CJ San Sugar. Beau is a senior at Oklahoma Panhandle State University
