A new raffle has been announced that will benefit the Ethan Lif family. A GForce Arms, S16 Filthy Pheasant 20-gauge, 28-inch barrels, over/under shotgun, valued at $521 has been donated for the raffle by Ethan’s Uncle John Perkins and family, Uncle Brandon Rollins and family and Grandmother Mary Rollins.
The 37th annual Fall Ranch Rodeo sponsored by the Morris County Youth Rodeo Association (MCYRA) is scheduled for Sunday, October 1.
The Kansas Historical Society held a prestigious grand opening ceremony Saturday in Council Grove at the Kaw Mission. Well-wishers from far and near were present to pay honor and see the newly renovated Kaw Mission, which has been closed since 2019 for a total makeover. The facility boasts contemporary exhibits and free admission.
This week’s student of the week at Council Grove Elementary School is Maverick Waters. He is 6-years old and a student in Mrs. May’s first grade class.
