Chase County Water Break Cuts Water To 3 Districts
Public Works employees in Cottonwood Falls, Strong City and the Public Wholesale Water Supply District employees are to be commended for their persistence in repairing a severe break in Cottonwood Falls, which was in the north end of Cottonwood Falls, near the old baseball field. The repair was reported to have taken nine hours, with much of the time in excess water conditions.
Grove Gardens Offers Specials Before Closing
Grove Gardens, 401 W. Main, Council Grove is closing for the 2023 season at the end of the day on Saturday, October 28. Elle White of Grove Gardens said the looming cold weather forecast moved the closing date up to Saturday.
Truck Hits Deer
Charles Clore, 62, Herington, hit a deer on October 13. His wife reported it to the Morris County Sheriff’s Department the following morning. No injuries were reported. Mr. Core, who was driving a 2022 Ford F150, was wearing his seatbelt. The location of the accident was not stated on the report.
