TinaRae Scott, Mary Myers Elected Board Of Education President, VP

The USD 417 Board of Education held elections for president and vice president of the board on Monday. Board President Terry Powell nominated vice president TinaRae Scott for the president position, with the nomination seconded by Mary Myers. The board unanimously elected Scott to the position. Mary Myers was nominated for the position of vice president and unanimously approved following discussion of the time commitment the position could entail. The pair will serve terms of one year each, with the positions coming up for election again next July.

YOUTH QUEEN -- Mandy Jo Wainwright, Council Grove, was crowned Miss MCYR Queen during the Santa Fe Trail Ranch Rodeo sponsored by the Morris County Youth Rodeo Association at Council Grove. Clay Wilson, MCYR president, is with the new queen.
