TOPEKA – The Kansas Department of Health and Environment, Office of the State Fire Marshal and Safe Kids Kansas would like to share some important safety tips to ensure that all Kansans have a safe and fun Independence Day this year.
The Trail Days Café & Museum will be featured in an episode of “Fork in the Road” scheduled to be broadcast during the 5 p.m. newscast on WIBW-TV, Channel 13, Tuesday, July 5. “Fork in the Road” is a regular program taking a brief look at restaurants throughout the WIBW- TV broadcast area.
HANGAR TIME -- A NASA ER-2 scientific aircraft waits in the hangar at Salina Airport on June 23. The plane houses 12 instruments which transmit weather observation data to the ground while flying up to 70,000 feet above the Earth’s surface. Scientists hope to learn more about the overshooting tops of thunderstorms by flying close to them.
A high-altitude NASA field study based out of Salina wraps up this week, and project leaders say they’ve gathered some interesting data.
After much work and planning, Ryan McDonald says the Dealership will host it’s first “big” event this Saturday with a concert by country band Steel Skarecrow.
