Friday evening in Braves gym saw Head Coach Bruce Hula’s team pull out an exciting 67-65 win over a good St. Mary’s team but it wasn’t the only news on the evening, it was also Coaches 400th career win, something in the coaching fraternity not many share. I am sure that Coach wanted the win to be all about his coaches, players and support staff but this milestone shouldn’t go unrecognized by the Council Grove Community.
Council Grove’s Riley Forge (l to r), Grace French, and Capri Gant are displayed with their Design Boards. They are 3 of 14 USD 417 students headed to state competition in Salina.
All season Head Coach Bruce Hula has talked to his team about consistency and stepping up to make plays in big moments. On Senior Night, Kolby Rose did just that as he hit two free throws with 2.3 seconds remaining to propel the Braves to 67 - 65 win over St. Mary’s in the Braves gym.
