Council Approves Water Tower Fencing, Hears Update On Concrete Plant

City Administrator Nick Jones informed the Council Grove City Council that maintenance work would be performed on the city water tower sometime next month, noting that with a ladder being added to the tower the area would need to be secured. Jones recommended having the area surveyed and a security fence placed around the water tower. Jones said he would contact GeoTech, Inc. regarding the surveying and fence installation following the work on the water tower. Council Member Sean Honer asked about the Boy Scout cabin located in the area, with Jones stating that this would most likely need to be fenced in as well due to vandalism that has occurred at the cabin. Jones’ recommendation was approved by the council and expected to have the fence installed in late August.
