The March Kaw Mission Council Lecture Series “Westward Expansion, will be held at 2 p.m., on March 3, at the Dealership Building, 318 West Main, Council Grove. The March program will be “Connecting the Plains: Steamboats and the Santa Fe Trail,” presented by Professor Kendall Gott.
This week’s student of the week at Council Grove Elementary School is Landon Sommer. He is five-years-old and a student in Mrs. Blythe and Mrs. Spear’s kindergarten class.
The junior varsity Braves came away with a win, but it was up for grabs until late in the game. In a tight, well played JV game that was back and forth all game, the Braves pulled away in the final minute. Down 5 with 3 minutes to go the Braves cut it to 3 on a bucket by Finn Gant, then Landon Dody got a steal that led to another Gant layup. St. Mary’s answered with a 3 that pushed their lead back up to 4. Dody scored on a putback with just over 2 minutes to play. The Bears answered.
Exercise has its fair share of devotees and millions of others who recognize its value but still struggle to include workouts in their daily routines. Motivation can be a significant hurdle when it comes to exercise, and recent studies are a testament to that difficulty.
