Library To Host Discussion Series On “Westering”

The Council Grove Public Library will offer a three-part book discussion series August through October on the theme of “Westering.” Members of the community are invited to attend the free programs, which will take place at library at 829 W Main Street.

The Council Grove City Council will meet at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday at City Hall. On the agenda will be an update on city chip ‘n seal projects, a water deposit ordinance and discussion regarding the Council Grove City Lake.
Local Student Attends Kansas Cosmosphere Camp

Truman Bond first became interested in attending camp at the the Kansas Cosmosphere after he saw a pamphlet in the rack at the Council Area Trade & Tourism Association office, where his mom Zoey is the executive director.

The group participated in team building exercises, ice breaker activities, speed interviews and workshops.
