Council Grove Junior/Senior High School hosted its Fall student blood drive on October 31st, attracting students and faculty that were eager to make a difference.
FEATURED IN KSHSAA MURAL -- 2023 Council Grove High School graduate Jessica Filkin is standing in front of a mural honoring boys and girls sports in which she is featured as the softball pitcher (located at the top left). The painting is located at the Kansas State High School Activities Association office in Topeka and was painted by artist Andy Valdivia. Jessica, a former Lady Braves softball standout, is currently studying accounting and finance at Washburn University where she will graduate in the spring. She is also a bullpen catcher for the Wichita State University softball team.
(This year, we are honored to “treat” the Morris County Historical Society (MCHS) with an article recognizing their dedication and service to the community. Our annual Halloween tradition of donating 40% of the special ad revenue to MCHS received overwhelming support.
