Greenwood Cemetery tour returns: brings history to life

Back by popular demand, the Morris County Historical Society will host a special come-and-go “historical” tour of Council Grove’s Greenwood Cemetery from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, October 26. The event offers visitors a unique and engaging opportunity to meet some of the community’s early residents as they “come to life” at their gravesites.

Community weighs in on future of USD 417 facilities

More than 100 residents filled the Council Grove Junior-Senior High School auditorium Wednesday night to learn about — and weigh in on — the future of local school facilities. The meeting, hosted by USD 417 and its architectural partners, presented two major facility options, discussed financial impacts, and gathered community feedback as the district considers a bond election in March 2026.
