The Morris County Historical Society recently received a significant addition to its archives with the donation of a research project by Jan Koepke of Council Grove. A member of the Council Oak Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) and the chapter’s Defense Committee Chair, Koepke conducted a detailed study on seven known African American Civil War veterans buried at the Dunlap Colored Cemetery.

Operated from her home, Stanley’s daycare offers local families much-needed, dependable care— something she recognized was in short supply in her rural community.
