Melanie Renee Hirt was born on October 17th, 1981, in Emporia, Ks and after bravely living with ALS, passed away on September 9th, 2023, in Lawrence, Ks.

Lois Elaine Deschner, 88 year old long time Big Cabin-Vinita area resident passed away on September 11, 2023, at Mercy Hospital, Oklahoma City.

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Linda Sue Clough (Ziegenhirt), who passed away on August 25, 2023, at the age of 76.

Virginia Mae Syring Fisher, 96, a longtime resident of the Alta Vista/ Council Grove area passed away on Friday, August 25, 2023 at Diversicare of Council Grove.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father and grandfather, LeRoy Lorne Buchman. LeRoy was born on October 19, 1951. He passed away peacefully at the age of 71 at his home on September 1, 2023.

Marvin E. Skinner was born September 14, 1930, in Iola, Kansas. He passed away September 6, 2023, peacefully at home with loved ones.

Melvin Wayne Keyser of Wichita died peacefully at home with his family on Saturday, September 9, 2023. He was 90.

Lisa Owen, age 63, a longtime resident of Wilsey passed away peacefully on September 5, 2023 at her family home. She was blessed to have many visitors and family around her in her final days. She will forever remain in our hearts, an embodiment of love, kindness, and nurturing.

Sharon Marie Jones, 80, from Council Grove, KS, entered peacefully into the arms of our heavenly Father on September 1, 2023. She was born on September 20, 1942, in Denver, CO, to Henri & Mary Abromeit. She was the oldest of three kids. On May 26, 1961, at the youthful age of 18, she married H.L. Talley in Oklahoma City. Together they were blessed with two loving sons, Henri and John. They lived in Saint Jo, Texas for several years and then moved to Texarkana, TX. Sharon worked as a phlebotomist while there. H.L. passed away on July 7, 1982.

Services for Jessicah Elaine Morris, who passed away Monday, August 28, will be held Tuesday, September 5, at Torn Veil Church, Wilsey. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., with the service to begin at 10:30 a.m. A graveside will immediately follow the service.
